Martha Leeder, President

Martha Leeder serves as Board Chair of Open Arms Santa Fe. She is Founder & Principal of Ladybird, a boutique real estate investment and capital advisory firm. Previously, she served as Managing Director of Investor Relations at DXD Capital and Vice President of Investor Relations at Titan Development, raising capital for real estate private equity funds. Her background also includes nonprofit major gifts work at Albuquerque Academy, where she led planned giving and major gift solicitations. Martha's additional board service includes OneABQ Fund, NM Angels, and the Christ Lutheran Church Council.

Raquel Baca-Tompson, Executive Director

Raquel Tompson serves as Executive Director of Open Arms Santa Fe. She brings more than twenty years of nonprofit leadership and management experience, including nine years in human resources management. Raquel holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree and previously worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Behavioral Health Unit at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Hospital. She has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and St. Elizabeth Shelter and is an active member of the Santa Fe Housing Collaborative for All. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting, indoor cycling, and walking her dog.

Susan Boe, Board Member

Susan Boe is a retired attorney as well as a former journalist. As an attorney, she was a partner at Faegre & Drinker where she worked for several years in both the Minneapolis and Des Moines offices. Also, during that time, she was general counsel for Iowa Realty, an 800-person law firm headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa. As a journalist, Susan worked for newspapers in Corpus Christi and San Antonio, Texas as well as for The Ohio State University and the University of Texas in San Antonio. She retired to Santa Fe 20 years ago and since that time has worked as executive director of the New Mexico Freedom of Information Council and executive director of Searchlight, an online publication available to all newspapers in the state. Susan has been active in a number of nonprofits, including the New Mexico Cancer Foundation, the New Mexico Youth Shelters Board and the Center for Photography. She has been the recipient of the pro bono board for the State of Iowa and for Polk County and also was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Foundation for Open Government. Susan has taught for a number of years at Drake University and the University of New Mexico. She attended Iowa State University and received her juris doctor degree with highest distinction from the University of Iowa.
